The Sisters of the Congregation of Our Lady of Mercy and apostles of Divine Mercy following in the footsteps of St. Faustina and participating in her mission to proclaim the message of Mercy to the world with their witness of life, deeds, words and prayers will remember and celebrate the following anniversaries in 2023:
January 1 – 20 years of operation of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy’s publishing company, Misericordia.
February 2 – 100 years ago the young Helena Kowalska – St. Faustina – became a servant to Marcjanna Wieczorek in Łódź at Gubernatorska 29 (today: Abramowskiego).
February 15 – 10th anniversary of the start of online (video) broadcasting from the chapel with the grace-famous image of the Merciful Jesus and the tomb of St. Faustina at the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Krakow-Łagiewniki, accessible at www.faustyna.pl.
February 22 – 10th anniversary of the Chaplet for the Dying project using the Internet and mobile networks.
February 17 – 20th anniversary of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments’ approval of the Congregation’s own calendar, which includes a patronal solemnity of the Congregation (August 5) and, in the rank of a solemnity, the liturgical remembrance of St. Faustina the virgin (October 5), as is due to holy founders.
March – 95th anniversary of the founding of the convent in Kiekrz near Poznań, where St. Faustina stayed. Today, the Shrine of St. Faustina.
18 April – 30th anniversary of St. Faustina’s beatification at St. Peter’s Square in Rome performed by Pope John Paul II.
30 April – 95th anniversary of the first religious vows (chastity, poverty and obedience) made by St. Faustina.
1 May – 90th anniversary of St. Faustina’s perpetual religious vows in Krakow. The ceremonies were presided over by Bishop Stanisław Rospond.
May 8 – 155th anniversary of the ministry of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy in Krakow.
17 May – The anniversary of the founding of the convent of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy in Vilnius’ Antokol (a foundation of Princess Maria Radziwiłł), which functioned until 1945. Of the former facilities, only the house where the Divine Mercy Chaplet was revealed remains. St. Faustina began writing her diary there 90 years ago (in 1933).
August 27 – 40th anniversary of the ministry of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy in Łódź at ul. Wici, next to the present-day Shrine of Divine Mercy.
September 15 – 40th anniversary of the apostolic ministry of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy in Boston, USA, now in Lakeville.
October 5 – 85th anniversary of St. Faustina’s death in the convent of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy in Krakow-Łagiewniki.
November 8 – 45th anniversary of the ministry of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy in Rome.
