On August 22th, at the John Paul II National Shrine in Washington, D.C., a virtual Evening with Merciful Jesus will be organized, due to the Shrine being still closed to the public because of the pandemic. Living in the time of the Covid-19 pandemic is not easy, writes Sr. Gaudia from the Washington community of the Congregation of Our Lady of Mercy, encouraging people to participate, but living in the time of the ‘spiritual pandemic of fear’ is even harder. This August Evening with Merciful Jesus will be a meeting with our Savior, who gives us all the reasons not be afraid. The program includes a presentation titled Do not be afraid!, which will be delivered by Father Paweł Sass, provost of the Nativity Parish in Washington, D.C. The meeting will start at 7 pm at the image of the Merciful Jesus with prayer of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. The prayer will be followed by the Fr. Sass’ conference, and Adoration led by Mike Tenney. Video live will be available at the John Paul II National Shrine’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/events/1221974838170055/ and YouTube channel.
