Under this motto, the Bakhita Section for the Prevention of Modern Slavery and Assistance to Victims, on the occasion of its 10th anniversary, is organizing a vigil, which will take place at the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Kraków-Łagiewniki on the night of 3/4 September. The Vigil will begin at 8 p.m. with introduction of the relics of St. Bakhita. The program includes: Holy Mass presided over by Bishop Grzegorz Ryś, an hour of testimonies of people who have experienced forgiveness and have forgiven, a conference on forgiveness by Fr. Krzysztof Matuszewski, Adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, an opportunity to receive the sacrament of reconciliation, and adoration of Divine Mercy. The vigil will end with the Chaplet of Divine Mercy at 3 am. Online broadcasting will be available at the Shrine’s Rectorate website, www.milosierdzie.pl. The Bakhita network has been in existence since 2011, as an informal support group. Belonging to it provides different kinds of opportunities for involvement and action. The Network is currently represented by approximately 19 religious congregations. The Board of the Network is the Bakhita Section operating within the Charitable Works Commission of the Conference of Major Superiors of Women’s Religious Congregations in Poland.
