“You worry and are troubled about many things”
Under this motto, taken from the Gospel of St. Luke (Lk 10:41), a retreat for women will be held in Kazakhstan from February 20–22 this year, at the Parish of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Konajewo (Diocese of Almaty). The retreat, part of the “Samaritan Woman” project, will be led by Sr. Anastasis Omelchenko ISMM and Sr. Kazimiera Wanat CSFN. Martha and Mary encourage the search for balance: action and presence, activity and silence, where both paths have their place in a woman’s life. Meeting these sisters and the dearest Guest of their home can initiate a conversation about the tension between one’s own activity and presence, about how in femininity there is room both for action and for silence.
