On Sunday, April 19 this year, the 10th National Reading of the Holy Scripture will take place. This time, its guiding thought will be the words from the First Letter of St. Paul to the Thessalonians: “We had courage in our God to declare to you the Gospel of God in the face of great opposition” (1 Thess 2:2). The main goal of the National Reading of the Holy Scripture, which begins the Biblical Week, is to invite believers to personal, daily reading and reflection on the Holy Scripture. The solemn celebration, presided over by Cardinal Grzegorz Ryś, Metropolitan Archbishop of Kraków, with invited lectors, will take place at the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Kraków-Łagiewniki at 7:00 a.m. and, together with the Eucharist, will be broadcast on TVP1 and on the website: www.faustyna.pl, YouTube, and in mobile applications: faustyna.pl.
From Sunday, April 19–25, 2026, the Church in Poland celebrates the 18th National Biblical Week under the motto: “Proclaim the Gospel of God with courage.”
