The central celebrations of the Feast of Divine Mercy always take place at the Sanctuary in Kraków-Łagiewniki, where, with the death of Saint Sister Faustina, God entrusted her entire spiritual legacy, including Jesus’ request to establish this feast. Although Divine Mercy Sunday has been included in the liturgical calendar of the entire Church since 2000, pilgrims from all over the world and from every continent come to the main celebration of this feast at the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Kraków-Łagiewniki. This year they came from 44 countries, including distant and exotic ones such as: Angola, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Dominican Republic, Philippines, India, Iraq, Canada, Colombia, Congo, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Paraguay, Rwanda, Uganda, USA, Venezuela, Vietnam, Réunion Island, the Holy Land, Zimbabwe, as well as from 18 European countries.
