On the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the canonization of St. Stanislaus Kostka, the Diocese of Płock organized a pilgrimage along the route from Vienna to Rome, which the young Kostka traveled while striving to be admitted to the Society of Jesus. From July 4 to September 15, the pilgrims will cover a distance of 1,687 km, praying for the following intention: “That young people whom God calls to serve in the Church may have the courage to respond positively to this invitation, and for their parents, that they may be able to accept the desire or decision of their children.” The relay pilgrimage is divided into ten weekly stages and leads from Vienna through Austria, Germany, and Italy to Rome. Sisters of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy will also participate in stages 4, 5, and 10.
