From 1–9 August 2026, the 11th walking pilgrimage will take place from the Divine Mercy Shrine in Spišská Nová Ves (Czech Republic) to the Divine Mercy Shrine on Butkov Hill in Slovakia. Sister Pavla Stanovčáková of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy, from the convent in Dvůr Králové nad Labem, will participate in the pilgrimage. She will lead the prayers during the Hour of Mercy and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, as well as offer spiritual guidance in personal conversations. Under the leadership of Fr. Artur Cierlicki, SAC, the pilgrims will cover a distance of 246 km. The pilgrimage motto will be the words of the prayer of St. Francis: “Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace,” marking the Jubilee Year, which commemorates the 800th anniversary of the death of the Poor Man of Assisi.
