On June 4 (Saturday), the parish of St. Francis of Assisi in Detva (central Slovakia) will hold ceremonies of accepting members to the “Faustinum” Association of the Apostles of Divine Mercy and oaths of devotion and service to God’s Mercy. In the presence of Vicaress General of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy, Sr. Gracjana Szewc, and the sisters engaged in the formation of three volunteers in Slovakia, new members will receive membership cards and the rule of the “Faustinum” Association. Seventeen individuals will take their oaths of devotion and service to Divine Mercy: 14 people for one year, and three for lifetime. Holy Mass will be presided by Fr. Artur Ciepielski, while a one day retreat preceding the ceremony will be led by Fr. Roman Haško and Sr. M. Faustia Szabóová of the Košice community of the Congregation of Our Lady of Mercy. In Slovakia, the “Faustinum” Association counts 1,720 volunteers and 173 members.
