On April 9 (Saturday), at the end of Week of Mercy, the 13th “Caritas” National Pilgrimage will arrive in the Shrine in Krakow-Łagiewniki. Mass for staff and volunteers of the “Caritas” foundation will be celebrated by Archbishop of Krakow, Stanisław Cardinal Dziwisz, in the Basilica at 11:00 am. This Mass will additionally be concelebrated by priests ministering in diocesan divisions of “Caritas” and in “Caritas” Poland. Thanks will be given for the 25 years of activity after the foundation’s reactivation in 1991. After the Eucharist, the participants of the pilgrimage will proceed to the Shrine of John Paul II at the “Be Not Afraid” Center. There will be testimonies and a concert. The pilgrimage will officially conclude at 3.30 pm with the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. It is worth mentioning that the patron of Poland’s largest charity organization which excels in many works of mercy and engages in a number of activities to help the needy outside Poland is St. Faustina.
