They came to this holy place not only in the Jubilee Pilgrimage of Mercy and other events in the framework of the official celebrations of the World Youth Day, but first of all, from their hearts’ desire to be at the holy site which God has chosen for the veneration of His Mercy, where more than 280 revelations were experienced by St. Faustina, and thousands of miracles witnessed by people fleeing to the Divine Mercy. The chapel of the miracle-famous image of Merciful Jesus and the relics of St. Faustina was constantly besieged. The young would stand for several hours to just a to enter it for a brief moment, to look in the eyes of the Merciful Jesus and ask for the intercession of the Apostle of Mercy. Focus, tears of joy and emotion only partially shown what these pilgrims from all continents experienced here. Before the entrance to the chapel, the Sisters of the Congregation of Our Lady of Mercy, priests and volunteers World Youth Day proclaimed the “the gift of God for our times”, which is the whole spiritual heritage of St. Faustina. The young shared their faith through song and prayer of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, which sounded here in many languages.
