The renovation of the polychrome and repainting of the chapel with the miraculous image of Merciful Jesus and the tomb of St. Faustina at the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Krakow-Łagiewniki are completed. The historic paintings by Prof. Zdzisław Gedliczka from 1934, which decorte the convent chapel where the Apostle of Divine Mercy prayed for more than five years have regained their former beautiful colors and brilliance. The restoration works were led by the Reco conservation company under the direction of conservator Adrian Poloczek from Katowice. More images can be found in the Gallery.
The cost of the works in the chapel which is the “heart” of the Łagiewniki Shrine has exceeded one million zlotys, hence our request for your support. Your kind donations will help make the chapel more beautiful and help it serve the pilgrims who arrive here even better. They will also make it more enjoyable to Internet users who visit it thanks to the on-line transmissions at: www.faustyna.pl. Each gift offered with a heart full of love for God and humanity is a treasure you deposit in the heavenly bank, where it has eternal value.
