Each year on September 17th, “St. Faustina’s Day” is celebrated at the John Paul II Hospital in Krakow at Prądnicka 80. In the surviving chapel of the Sacred Heart, which is a silent witness to the presence, prayers and sufferings of the Apostle of Divine Mercy and the extraordinary events of her life, Holy Mass will be celebrated about 3:20 pm. It will be preceded by a prayer at the Hour of Mercy and Chaplet of Divine Mercy led by sisters from the convent in Krakow-Łagiewniki. The Day of St. Faustina is organized by the management of the John Paul II Hospital and the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy, and attended not only by the medical staff and the hospital’s patients, but also by venerators of the Divine Mercy and St. Faustina. The Apostle of Divine Mercy spent more than eight months in this hospital, in the years 1936-1938, and on 17 September 1938, she finally left it for the convent to go House of Our Heavenly Father from there.
