On January 17, Sr. Christofora Jagła of the Congregation of Our Lady of Mercy from the convent at the Shrine in Krakow-Łagiewniki will speak about the spiritual heritage of St. Faustina to the faithful at the parish of Our Lady of Good Counsel in Warsaw. The talk will focus in particular on the message of Divine Mercy, which emphasizes the biblical truth about the merciful love of God and calls people to share it with the world through the testimony of their lives, merciful deeds, words and prayers. Part of the message is devotion to Divine Mercy, expressed by the attitude of trust in God (ie. fulfilling His will) and mercy towards others. Especially privileged forms of veneration include the image of Divine Mercy, the Feast of Divine Mercy, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, prayer focused on the moment of Christ’s agony on the Cross, which is called the Hour of Mercy, and proclaiming the veneration of Divine Mercy. This talk about Divine Mercy is connected with the Jubilee of Mercy currently being celebrated by the Church.
