The Door of Mercy in the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Krakow-Łagiewniki has been integrated into the main entrance to the basilica. In the center, you can see the Jubilee of Mercy logo, depicting Christ carrying Adam on His shoulders. Adam signifies every human being. Above the icon, there is a cross with streams of red and pale light emanating from it, in reference to the rays seen in the Image of Merciful Jesus. On the framework of the door, there are pictograms symbolizing the corporal and spiritual Deeds of Mercy with their names in Polish and English. Passing through the Door of Mercy is a sign of opening oneself to the Mercy of God, which should result in practicing the works of mercy and transforming our lives in Mercy, which is what St. Faustina prayed for. The Holy Door will become a Door of Mercy through which anyone who enters, wrote Pope Francis, will experience the love of God who consoles, pardons, and instils hope.
