Request of the Lord Jesus to pray for the dying

Pray as much as you can for the dying, pray that they may put their trust in My mercy, or they are the ones most in need of trustfulness, but have it least of all. Know that for some souls the grace of eternal salvation will depend at their last moment on your prayers (Diary, 1777). These words, which Jesus said to St. Faustina, also apply to us because we can save someone for eternity by saying the Chaplet of Divine Mercy with trust, in their intention. The work of helping the dying by recitation of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy has its origin in the events and words of Jesus, recorded in the Diary of St. Faustina (e.g. Diary, 809-810, 811, 828, 834-835, 880, 1035, 1541, 1565, 1639, 1684, 1698, 1797-1798 etc.). It aims at helping specific person, known by name, who is leaving this world.

Who can join in this work?

Anyone who wishes to support dying people with the prayer of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Those declaring their support for the dying in this way should fill in the form. One should provide their name, town, parish, mobile phone number, e-mail address, and also determine and select one of eight time zones where the declaration to support the dying is made and the method to receive the information about the dying. In the selected time zone, a person can only receive one notification with the name of the person dying. After the form is filled, a sister of the Congregation of Our Lady of Mercy confirms admission to the work of the Chaplet for the Dying by sending a message at the given e-mail address.

Upon receiving the message with the name of the dying person by e-mail, you need to reply “AMEN” within 15 minutes. This password is a receipt of information and means that you recited the Chaplet of Divine Mercy once for the intention of the dying person.

It is possible to withdraw from participation in the work by filling out the Unsubscribe form. An automatic resignation from the work of the Chaplet for the Dying will also commence when the E-mail system that supports this work will not receive the AMEN answer 5 times in a row. If you wish to re-engage in this work, you must fill out the form once again.
