On Friday, May 1 of this year, the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Kraków-Łagiewniki will host, for the 19th time, the annual pilgrimage of Catholics from Slovakia, this year under the theme: “Divine Mercy in my life.” Currently, about 10,000 pilgrims from all over Slovakia take part. The solemn Eucharist at 10:30 a.m. will be presided over by Bishop Stanisław Stolarik, Bishop of Rožňava, concelebrated with many priests who will come with the pilgrims. At 2:20 p.m., a conference will be given by Sr. M. Faustia Szabóová from the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy on the topic: “The heart sees more: Mercy as a lifestyle.”
The pilgrimage will conclude with prayer at the Hour of Mercy (3:00 p.m.), the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, and a pastoral blessing. The pilgrimage program will traditionally be broadcast by the organizers – the Catholic Radio “Lumen” – enabling those who cannot physically come to Łagiewniki to participate spiritually.
