As part of this series, a retreat entitled “The Merciful Master and Teacher” will be held from October 23 to 25 at the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Kraków-Łagiewniki. The motto of the retreat will be the words Jesus spoke to St. Faustina: “I have been your Master, I am, and I will be” (Diary, 1701). In an atmosphere of silence and prayer, participants will discover another aspect of Jesus as revealed in the “Diary” of the Apostle of Divine Mercy. For St. Faustina, Jesus was her Master and Teacher, and she sought to be His faithful disciple. Being a disciple of Jesus is both a privilege and a responsibility, leading to an ever-deeper relationship with Him and with others, as well as to fruitful evangelization. The retreat will be led by Sr. Emanuela Gemza of the Kraków community of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy, president of the “Faustinum” Association and author of books and formation materials, and Rev. Dr. Sławomir Czajka, biblical scholar and director of the St. Casimir Theological Institute in Radom.
