On August 22–23, devotees of Divine Mercy will come to the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Kraków-Łagiewniki for the 13th National Pilgrimage, held on the anniversary of the consecration of the Basilica of Divine Mercy and the entrustment of the world to Divine Mercy by St. John Paul II. On Sunday, the Eucharist at 3:20 p.m. in the basilica will be presided over by Cardinal Grzegorz Ryś, Metropolitan Archbishop of Kraków, marking the beginning of a year-long preparation for the 25th anniversary of the entrustment of the world to Divine Mercy. After Mass, there will be the #PrzyMiłosiernym joyful gathering in front of the lower basilica.
The pilgrimage program includes presentations of works of mercy in tents in the square in front of the basilica and an opportunity to visit exhibitions in the lower part of the basilica: “Cardinal Franciszek Macharski – A Man of Mercy” and “Young People with the Merciful Jesus – World Youth Day at the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Kraków-Łagiewniki” – a commemoration ten years later. On Saturday at 7:00 p.m., the Laus Misericordiae organ concert will take place in the basilica (Jakub Kamiński, Michał Książek, Krzysztof Michałek, Paweł Prochwicz).
