I pray the Rosary many times daily, teach Marian classes in my parish and always pray the chaplet daily. I encourage all my students to do likewise, as well as to read the Diary of St. Faustina. I am happier now than ever before. Jesus is there waiting to extend His mercy. Go to Him, go to confession and attend Mass as much as possible. Jesus will never push you away, just ask Him for His Mercy.

I had shared with my sister God is with her through this journey and will see her through. As I have been spiritual and believe in the love of God throughout my life, I have held daily prayer for my sister Susanna. God, thank you for hearing my daily prayers. Thank you for cover over and bring recovery and healing my sister Susanna, and for staying close when I was afraid, and for showing me your mercy. Help me remember your goodness daily and live in a way that honors what you’ve done. Father, please hear my cry and restore my sister to good health and me. Thank you for your faithfulness, your comfort, and your healing power. God, grant me the serenity for things I can not change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the different.

In 2017 my journey with St. Faustina deepened. It was my first pilgrimage to Poland and my first visit to the Divine Mercy Shrine. I was experiencing a very difficult moment in my life at the time. As we arrived at the shrine, a Sister from the Divine Mercy Shrine, began our tour with a brief history of St. Faustina in the Holy Cross Chapel. She spoke about her life, Jesus’s messages to her, her struggles and sufferings, and her Trust in our Merciful God. This discussion touched me deeply. After this presentation we went into Saint Faustina’s Chapel for mass. I was asked to do the reading that day. The reading was 1 Peter 1:1-11. I was reading as usual until I reached the words “though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials” (1 P 1: 6). I was unable to read it because I had quietly begun to cry thinking of my struggles and feeling shameful that I resisted this pain and suffering. As I stood there with my group all staring at my inability to speak, I thought my priest would come and “rescue me” but he sat quietly praying and waited for me to regain composure and finish the reading. I prayed for assistance and finished this meaningful reading properly. As I left mass, I felt interiorly this being said to me, “Never forget what you saw here”. From that day, I yearned to learn more, and more about St. Faustina. I prayed differently. I prayed to accept struggles and sufferings by doing them for Jesus. I know the crosses in life will continue to come, but Trust in knowing that all are for my benefit in some way. In Diary entry 1074, St. Faustina wrote: Tell (all people), My daughter, that I am Love and Mercy itself. When a soul approaches Me with trust, I fill it with such an abundance of graces that it cannot contain them within itself but radiates them to other souls.
Every day I feel thankful for the blessings I receive which I pray I see and am always open to. I pray I use these blessings and gifts given to me, for the spreading of God’s message of Mercy and Love to others in all that I do. I have not forgotten what I saw and felt in 2017! I am grateful for the Faustinum Association and pray that I will make a difference in others lives, even if only one, by sharing what I learn.

In the last 2 weeks of November (which happens to be All Souls’), my infirm grandmother suffered a sharp decline in heath and was no longer responsive. Doctors pulled all tubes and asked our family to get ready. Days passed, and even after the oxygen support had been removed, she seemed to cling on to dear life. Her vitals were not fantastic, yet remained stable. It was painful to see her in that state - she had terrible bed sores, was unable to take any food or drink, was immobile, and unable to communicate. I was told that her blood pressure and vitals were almost certainly incompatible with life. Essentially there was little or no “life” left in her.

Despite it all, we could feel that she was somewhat reluctant to let go. We wondered if she was waiting for someone to visit - perhaps, a daughter of hers, who had unfortunately passed away. We broke the news to her many times prior but she couldn’t seem to process that, so we played a video recording of her again, hoping that could give her solace and she might pass peacefully. Not sure if that was what she was looking for. Perhaps she was waiting for a priest to drop in, or for more prayers. Either way, it was difficult to see her suffer like that. In most cases we were told that people in such a state would have passed on quickly, but not her.

On Friday 21st November, I was resting alone and had a sudden inspiration/idea to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet at her bedside. It was inexplicable but I felt that she might pass after the recital of the chaplet. At 3pm, I played a sung version of the chaplet in English, courtesy of the Hallow App. Weirdly, I saw changes in her breathing and I started to get a bit anxious. It was more laboured, and her condition continued to decline in the coming hours. She was still hanging on, and we requested doctors administer painkillers to help ease any discomfort.

The next day, she didn’t look great. The death rattle was louder and her breathing was more laboured. There were more pauses between breaths. By midday her lower lip had darkened and it was a sign that she was going to pass soon - but we just didn’t know when. Once more, a recital of the Chaplet might give her some comfort. Again I had the thought that she might pass - this really gave me mixed feelings, but I thought about how much she was suffering.

This time I played a Chaplet recording in the Chinese language instead, as that was the only language my grandmother understood. My aunt led the in-person recital in Chinese whilst I kept company and listened. We played a YouTube recording at 3:05pm, and about 10 minutes later, before the recital ended, she passed. I watched closely. She wasn’t struggling at all, and I saw her take a deep breath or two - around then I dashed to gather other family members. This part was hazy but I remember this sense of peace about her that was so inexplicable.

I was mentally beating myself up for forgetting the Chaplet, having visited Krakow about a year ago. I wanted to share this testimony because I witnessed such a powerful act of mercy. My grandmother was afraid to go, and clung on at the expense of her suffering. Perhaps because of this, Christ came and picked her up, not as a Judge but as a merciful Saviour. This experience led me to read these other testimonials and I am amazed with some of the similarities in other accounts. In the days after her passing I was reflecting on how God never reneges on His promises, and wills our salvation. Even when we had all forgotten about the Chaplet, including my very religious aunt, God is so good to allow such inspirations to materialise by prompting and moving our hearts.

The most consoling part was that she passed in the hour of Great Mercy, in the midst of the recital. Above all everyone witnessed how peacefully she left. Jesus, I trust in You.

I wish to explain two incidents which clearly showed that what Jesus promised us through St Faustina is true. The first is that three years ago in my country Malawi, we experienced the worst cyclone in decades called cyclone Fred which originated in Madagascar and caused a lot of deaths and destruction in many countries in southern Africa including my country. It all started when we were at mass on a Sunday. After mass we waited for some time believing that the downpour would ease but instead it intensified. We all left for our homes and on arrived everyone was completely soaked. This trend continued up to wednesday non stop. Most services were completely affected. There was no electricity so we could not communicate to our loved ones and there were no commodities at the market just to mention a few. We all stayed indoors because many houses were surrounded by rising floods and in some houses water was getting inside. Amid all this chaos, I remembered Jesus's promise concerning storms. I immediately started praying the chaplet of Divine mercy non stop asking Jesus to protect my relatives where ever they were and not to allow the walls of houses to fall on anyone in the village and sorrounding areas where I live. It was really amazing that about half of the houses in my area fell down mostly at night while people were asleep but the walls were falling outwards away from the occupants therefore no one was killed all injured. And all my relatives were safe. In addition, the downpour ceased just at the right moment beyond which it could be disastrous according to experts. The second testimony is what I experienced while praying Divine mercy chaplet at three pm in 2017. I was praying alone in my bedroom and all of a sudden I felt a strong presence of a figure on my side resembling Jesus as depicted in the Divine mercy picture. I was struck with fear and hurriedly left the room but the figure did not leave and I could see it through the eyes of my soul. I then started crying and some words from nowhere came into my mind. And I repeated three times: ' Jesus how can I love you' . After the third time the figure disappeared.

I wish to sincerely thank our Merciful Saviour, Jesus because whatever He promised us through St Faustina happens. I will start with happened in August 2025. My younger brother Christopher was diagnosed with stroke. After brain scan, the doctor said the picture showed blood spill in the brain. We did not have much hope but we left it to God. What was more worrisome was the fact that he divorced the wife he wedded and took and stayed with another one. The moment we heard about his sickness, I started praying several Divine mercy chaplets every day for his recovery. I could pray sometimes with St John Paul II and I also sent a prayer request to St Faustina shrine. The day my brother died, I had just finished praying ten rosaries of the Divine mercy with St John Paul when I had a phone call that I had to rush to the hospital meaning my brother was in serious condition. I left immediately and found my brother unconscious and on life support. I was told that 30 minutes before I arrive a priest was there to administer last rites. When I arrived, I immediately pulled out my rosary started praying the Divine mercy immediately and repeatedly. I arrived at around 2:30 pm and after praying for 30 minutes at around 3 pm my brother breathing because erratic. I continued praying throughout the holy hour and at around 4:10 pm my brother breathed his last. Although we lost him, I did not cry but I was amazed after witnessing the most peaceful death. The passing was like someone who was just asleep with no movement and no noise just a little faint gasping. Witnessing this and other previous experiences concerning Divine mercy, I thanked the Lord for showing mercy to my brother and my trust in Jesus of Divine mercy grew much stronger. Thanks Sweet Lord Jesus!
