On the occasion of the anniversary of St. Sister Faustina’s birth into heaven, celebrated on October 5, pilgrims will have an opportunity to visit the place where the Apostle of Divine Mercy departed this earthly life for the home of the Heavenly Father. Normally, this place is not accessible to pilgrims because it is located within the religious enclosure. Upon entering the Shrine, visitors can only see an information plaque and the flower-decorated window of the former infirmary. On that day, the oratory, where relics from the body of St. Sister Faustina as well as relics of more than one hundred saints and blesseds are kept, will be open to pilgrims from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Since this year the liturgical feast of St. Faustina falls on a Monday, the cell will exceptionally also be open on the eve of the feast, that is, on Sunday from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
