As part of this series, a retreat entitled “Faith and Crises. Lectio Divina with Abraham” will be held from 11 to 13 September at the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Kraków-Łagiewniki. The motto of the retreat will be the words of St. Faustina, which resonate perfectly with the testimony of Abraham’s life: “O Lord, although I cannot comprehend You and do not understand Your ways, I nevertheless trust in Your mercy” (Diary, 73). Faith and Crises offers reflections in the light of the Word of God, especially for those who “struggle in their faith,” who are going through painful trials, who suffer like Abraham yet do not cease to trust; for those who follow Jesus to the end, even when their faith becomes nothing more than a cry of helplessness.
The retreat will be led by Fr. Krzysztof Wons, SDS, Doctor of Spiritual Theology, Director of the Salvatorian Centre for Spiritual Formation (CFD) in Kraków, retreat master and spiritual director, and promoter of Lectio Divina.
